I Tried 30 Days of F45 HIIT Classes & This Is What Happened!

today's the day class number 16.

My fourth workout challenge! This actually took place many months ago lol and I'm just now posting it, hope you enjoy!! I decided to try a month of F45 high intensity interval classes and show you the journey and the before and after. F45 kicked my ass but I absolutely love it and still do multiple times each week since filming this!

hi hello how's it going it's elena so on my channel i do a series of challenges essentially where i try different workout classes for 30 days and i show up before and after of myself doing about 16 classes so about four classes a week for four weeks i've done in the past with soul cycle bar boxing classes so i did another one of these workout challenges but at f45 if you're not familiar with f45 i feel like it's one of like the hardest workout classes out there so i actually found this challenge back when i was in california so in june i was living in california and airbnb and in the small beach town i was in that f45 was open indoors with little pods now i'm doing it here in new york city it's slightly different class sizes are smaller and you have to be in a pod with a mask on everything's shifting but this footage is back from june in california just putting that out there so f45 essentially stands for functional and 45 as in 45 minutes so it is technically a hit workout class so high intensity interval training a lot of in-place cardio burpees stuff like that f45 is specifically designed to provide a functional full-body workout while improving energy levels metabolic rate strength and endurance they claim too that it's one of the most efficient ways to train in 45 minutes and that you can burn up to 750 calories in just a four minute session i'm rainfall workout is gonna be hard as hell so the way the class is structured is that monday wednesdays and fridays technically are like more cardio intensive days and tuesdays and thursdays or strength training days and then the weekends are mixtures so the classes are like kind of circuit based essentially so within your pod you'll have a bunch of weights surrounding you there will be screens all over that will show you what workout move you're doing and then the trainers are constantly like roving around the room to make sure you're doing the exercise with appropriate form it's just a really hard workout class it's like a mixture of burpees and box jumps and like weighted jump squats all these different techniques to really get you burning so if you kind of want to see how it was what the classes were like as well as my before and after just keep on watching oh my god i am so sweaty this one is just drying on my body right now just finished day three that class kicks my ass unlike any workout class i've ever done it's not as shocking anymore as the first day the first day was like terribly difficult where i thought i was gonna throw out where i didn't feel like i was gonna throw up today it's hard it's one of the hardest most rewarding classes i've ever done by a long shot today was the cardio date because it's wednesday monday wednesday fridays are definitely way harder than tuesdays and thursdays got to head to f45 can't wait let's do this thing good morning i'm about to head into class number six today is a weight day i woke up with my legs feeling incredibly sore from lots of jumping around yesterday so i'm hoping because it's not a cardio day there will be less jumping i'm back a little sweatier i survived it's definitely hard on the arms today my arms are a little weak definitely prefer strength 30 days to cardio days good morning f45 is right behind me and i'm about to head into class number seven i believe and my legs are really sore this should be interesting about to head to class number eight and you know i actually excited to go i'm not dreading it strengthening it so i know it's gonna be a little easier and i can feel myself getting a lot firmer which is really exciting and encouraging to keep going we're halfway through just crazy i can't believe i've already gone halfway two weeks in um i can show you guys a little update even just in regards to like stomach toning i already have the most toning i think i've ever had in my life including all the other workout challenges i've done before this is definitely also the hardest workout class i've ever done it's not easy and i was really intimidated at first because everyone there seems so fit but at the same time it is the friendliest workout class i've ever been to which i was not expecting and maybe because it's in california versus new york and it's like the culture but they like instructors really go out of their way to like memorize your name to check in with you constantly after a few classes my knees were starting to get achy which was a little concerned that i was like lifting things the wrong way so i just asked my instructor about it at the beginning of the class i was constantly checking in to make sure i was doing like a weighted lunge properly or like a burpee and that my knees weren't buckling in and just constantly checking my form which helped immensely and now my needs don't hurt in any of my classes because i'm like oh i know i need to be more wary of like how i'm taking a step or doing a squat which is super helpful they're clearly like very well educated when it comes to physical training and how to like protect your body okay i'm running late so i'm gonna head out to my eighth class and i'm feeling good i'm really excited halfway through just finished the class ah secured when i was mcats i'm slowly learning the different names of the classes and so split into like two big chunks so it's probably like 12 exercises and you do each exercise three different sets and that would be half the class in the second half of class would be repeating it all over from the beginning which i like because then there's constantly all these new exercises and you kind of forget what's next it keeps you on your toes keeps you entertained it's my favorite class number 13 which is crazy we're getting so close to the finish line and i am very excited i can see it it's almost there just gotta reach out and grab it a few more classes it's thursday i'm about to head to class number 14.

today's the day class number 16. i can't believe i made it it's been a long-ish journey i guess it's not that long of a journey but it has been a hard journey let's go i finished my 16th class and it kicked my ass but i feel so accomplished having finished it and i feel like i progressed so much from the starting point until now this colossal could go all the way through without having to stop for the most part i'll give myself a little pat on the back that was not easy every time i go into i feel like i'm gonna get something new and something different and like keeps you on your toes this is definitely a class i want to keep up i know in new york city they're doing it out in parks so i am most likely going to continue it once i'm there definitely a fan i'm feeling good i'm feeling stoked i need to go shower so you made it to the end i can say that was the most challenging workout i've done yet but also with some of the best results so talk a little bit of the pros and cons a little bit about the experience for one i really appreciated the environment and the studio and the trainers while things like soul cycle and like rumble are super fun they also feel very like trendy and sometimes kind of like uppity this kind of feels a little bit more no-nonsense it feels like anybody is welcome even if you're just kind of starting to work out or you're super fit even though the workouts are very hard so i'd recommend maybe getting a little bit of endurance but i feel like the trainers are super kind and they'll help you even going in and not being the fittest i felt very comfortable to like mess up and to like go slower i didn't feel weird about it which sometimes that like anxiety of doing a workout class for the first time can be very real it was a very like welcoming environment and i kind of feel like they do that across all studios the trainers are super helpful rather than having like one instructor in the class like showing the moves and everyone doing it following along there are screens and then you follow the screen another thing too is like you get so much done in 45 minutes like in 45 minutes i feel like i worked my body super hard i got a really good workout in and because of that like you're gonna see results if that's something you're looking for pretty quickly whether it's building up strength or like an aesthetic difference like it really kicks into play quickly because it's like a power class in that 45 minute session i feel like the workouts are incredibly efficient and they're constantly changing every class usually has a different name to it in a different type of circuit you could go in on monday and you're doing 10 different exercises for two sets for a lot of period of time or another workout class you could be doing like 30 different exercise moves over the course of the class period and you're not repeating any moves it kind of feels like you're constantly doing something new obviously the con with pretty much any workout class is going to be the price it is not cheap depending on where you live an unlimited pass for the month could cost you anything from 200 us dollars to like 350 us dollars when i was in san diego it was 200 per month when i'm here now in new york it's like 3 20 for the month which is so insane that i'm definitely not going to be able to do that every month but i justified it for this month because it's my birthday this month and also i'm like i'm not spending money on like anything these days and if i am going to spend money i either want to spend it on education or health and wellness if this is gonna bring me joy and help me build a healthy routine and make me feel really comfortable and good in my own skin i'm gonna do it for now why you so expensive at 45 i kind of also too like if i go five days a week then that makes each class like 16 if i go four days a week it's like 20 depending again on the location which i'm like i can justify but i know and because i'm spending so much money i'm like i have to go all the time being back in new york city i'm doing it again like i said i'm going five days a week which i have been loving it helps me get out of bed in the morning and start my work day otherwise i literally go from my bed to my desk which is like two feet away but yeah overall i am such a fan it really out of anything i've done before made me feel most accomplished the strongest like i feel badass after finishing class like i did that today let's dance when it comes to the before and after i feel like i saw a really big difference just in 16 classes which is not a lot at all i felt like my stomach toned up a bunch my legs just like feel firmer my back feels stronger my arms feel stronger which is a big thing for me like i just really always struggled with building arm strength aka i don't like doing arm workout moves i've always just kind of had like weak arms and upper body strength but this workout forces you to build upper body strength which i really like even just in a month it helps me tone up a lot build stronger muscles throughout my whole body which you don't necessarily find in every workout class it will make you sore as hell and you will be working your ass off but i found it to be an incredible workout program i'm definitely going to keep it up in the future if you enjoyed this video it'd mean a lot if you could subscribe and hit the notification bell and like this video because that really helps me out with the algorithm and this video took a month of literally sweat and pain and probably a tier two to finish up so so grateful for you guys until next time
