hello how are you doing coming to you on a very hot summer day i'm probably gonna regret this long sleeve in a few minutes but in the meantime we're gonna go with it so today figured i bring you guys a little sustainable summery clothing haul i know it's kind of the end of summer but i tend to wear summery clothing far beyond summer i feel like i haven't done like a sustainable clothing video haul in a while and figured i'd bring you guys some new sustainable brands i've been loving i know sustainable clothing can be more expensive i think everything i have ranges from probably like 50 to maybe like 120 which i know is not the cheapest and some other great sustainable options always is thrifting i'm a huge fan of thrifting and secondhand depop is great thread up is great i certainly could not afford a 70 blouse when i was in college and that is kind of the problem with sustainability is that it is a bit elitist with the prices but in order for an item to be sustainably made it's gonna cost more in the production hence the higher prices i wanted to introduce some new brands i don't think i've really featured that much on my channel yet that i really love if you are looking for some new sustainable ethical inspiration i got you covered first up the causa which has a lot of very beautiful lovely pieces great silhouettes very like flowy kind of natural but with fun colors and i clearly am loving lime green at the moment i feel like lime green is very on trend so lacazetta gifted me these thank you lacaza big fan of them lacazette and spanish means of the cause and they have really great ethical production with their clothing and i think the pieces are so fun this little set right here i am obsessed with these lime green trousers which fit like a dream they're so comfortable i love you they're wearing it just full green buttoned up or with like a little white tank top underneath it's very breezy so it's great for summer but once it gets a little bit colder you know you could layer it a little bit better underneath and make it work for different temperatures i think it is so fun it's obviously a statement outfit the next is this flowy delightful dress which if you follow me on instagram shameless blood just throw it out there i've been wearing all the time i love it it is so lightweight and flowy i don't know if like you can tell on camera but it's just like this delightful piece this very loose baby doll cut so i often built it just to make it like a little bit more tighter kind of like a cuter fit but it's like this very cute green floral detail pattern with these lovely like billowy sleeves and this has been a favorite and will continue to be a favorite next up is a bathing suit and again if you follow me on instagram you've seen this i am obsessed with the 70s and the color scheme of the 70s so this for me is just so freaking fun the company is called snorkel bear they're based out of australia and the bathing suit is made from nylon which is recycled from fishnets aka there's no new waste created from this and there's also no new resources so it's truly a nice cyclical recycling happening with these and i just love it it's kind of a nice high cut so you can like pull it up on your waist which i tend to do and then this is really comfortable and sturdy if you're gonna go swimming or surfing it's important to have your suits that you can actually be active in and that one is great for that okay i'm gonna have to turn on a low fan right now next up we got house of sunny which i've had a girl crush on for probably a year and a half if not longer they are so cool if i do say so myself i have a very small team and i met some other gals um during last fashion week and they were just so kind and friendly hard to find especially in the new york fashion scene so i made me love them even more house of sunny is a lovely british brand and they only create two seasonal collections a year which for one is a lot more sustainable a lot of people create four seasonal collections so they're taking that time to for one produce less design team has more time to research what materials they're going to use and to source dead stock material they also use this like innovative technology to drastically decrease how much water they use when it comes to creating denim clearly been gravitating towards lime green as of late as well as just like funky patterns i'm a huge fan i'm obsessed with these epic zebra pants i think they're so fun one thing that i really love about them is besides the pattern the pockets are so cool it's like these circular pockets with this like funky stitching and detailing and this dress is just like out there but it's so fun it's super comfortable again it's flowy which is like crucial for me in the summer time i need clearly flowy clothing because i overheat quite quickly the detailing is so cool and it's unlike anything i've seen i don't know fashion terminology but the way the lines just kind of like swoop down into the side i just think it's really cool next up we got etika great sustainable denim brand if you're looking for some summery shorts some nice denim this is the place to go they use 90 less water than the industry standard 63 less energy than the industry standard 70 less chemicals than the industry standard so they're doing pretty good these have been my denim shorts of the summer i actually got them as pants and i cut them into shorts and it was the best decision because i love the way they fit on my waist and i wasn't crazy with how they fit in the like thigh area but they're super comfortable just like the classic pair of light blue denim shorts that i love having in the summertime next up is faithful the brand they have the cutest pieces they're super femme girly really fun patterns and prints lots of florals lots of pastels lots of very like cutesy cuts which i am such a fan of this time of year i'm like let me put on a cute little summer dress so they are an indonesian-based brand that works really closely with local artisans in the area to source local materials to make sure they're giving back to the community and to create really incredible like handmade pieces so this is the piece i have from them right now i am hoping to get more but i'm trying to make sure i don't spend too much money but i'm obsessed with this like creamsicle colored linen top it's very simple it's probably one of the simpler things they had on their site but i absolutely love the way it fits it's like cropped but not too cropped they have a matching score of the same color and i'm very tempted to get it stay tuned and i feel like gold jewelry like this and just like a pair of denim shorts it's like a very simple and sweet outfit next up is oh seven days which is a turkish brand so they source their materials from runoff fabric rolls which means that other like textile garment factories will have a bunch of leftover fabric and often will just throw it away and create waste but a sustainable company like osimnes will come pick it up utilize what would have been trash otherwise to create really gorgeous pieces so i love this it has the most stunning open back and i'm like i love an open back for like a warm summer night okay probably just sitting in my house or my backyard but i'm going to feel cute for myself with a little glass of like white wine and here is one other super fun piece for them it also has this big open back and it's reversible so you get green gingham on the front and black and white gingham on the back which i mean you know you get you get two for the price of one what a deal my iranian grandfather would be so proud of me it has these really fun billowy sleeves a nice high neck and then again the open back we love her i'm all for it i feel like it's a very fun piece to wear with just like a simple pair of shorts and some cute like strappy sandals situation last but not least we've got a few thrifted pieces i will always be a lifelong thrifter i grew up thrifting i will never give up on thrifting got this simple white little button down for like three dollars and i've been wearing it all the time i throw it over a bathing suit and sometimes i'll leave it on button if i'm just gonna be hanging out on the beach all day or i just like the look of it with like really simple bottoms i think just the white kind of like very lightweight button down like this is such a staple i wear it all the time and then i also got this fun gingham little like over shirt situation i always feel like i want to wear to a picnic if that makes sense i think she's so cute but again on a day when maybe it's like a little breezier you can just throw it over a very simple outfit and it always looks good it's this lovely like pastel purple one tip for thrifting is when you're looking through racks look for a pattern that stands out to that you're into so i just saw this like purple gingham sticking out and i was like yes i love that pull it out there's this cute very like lightweight little over shirt that i can just throw on top so check for cute patterns when you're at thrift store and you're feeling overwhelmed highly recommend so i hope you enjoyed learning about some sustainable brands i'm loving hopefully give you inspiration to check out some new spots for your own wardrobe i'll leave links to everything in the description below if i can get any discount codes from the brands i will leave those below as well if you enjoyed this video make sure to like it really helps me out with the algorithm and hit the little notification bell so you can see when i make other videos as usual love you guys and thanks so much for watching memories
